The Stanford Women’s Community Center introduces the Gender, Equity, and Justice Summit 2019 (formerly known as the Stanford Women’s Leadership Conference). Over the years, this program has become an annual event to celebrate leaders who are raising awareness of issues related to equity in their fields and working to make change in their lives and communities.
This year, the summit is focused around the idea of lifelong feminism and activism, and what it means to lead a life and career centered around a passion for social justice. In particular, what does it mean to a be a lifelong activist and feminist? We aim to recognize a diverse set of experiences of what activism looks like in practice, and empower participants to continue fighting for justice throughout their lives.
